The EYSC Bobcats played the RYSC Scorpions to a 2-2 tie Saturday in under-10 boys youth soccer. Anders Hartman scored both goals for the Bobcats and Austin Darnielle scored both goals for the Scorpions. The U10 boys Eureka Mighty Grizzlies came up on the short end of a 5-2 count against the Roseville Diamondbacks. Anderson Marks and Jake Small scored the Grizzlies’ goals, and Brady Shaw played well in goal. In under-eight division girls play, the Keiki Kickers and Roxys played to a 1-1 draw. Madison Pearson scored the goal for the Kickers, who also saw Annika Gresko, Isabel Ronald and Natalie Joramo play well. The U8 boys Chargers beat the Yellow Jackets 4-0 in Roseville Youth Soccer Club play. Carson Ferro was the offensive leader for the Yellow Jackets with several shots on goal, while Mitchell Jamison, Austin Mays and Samuel Ordorica also played well. The U6 Eureka Blackhawks outscored the Eureka Knights 7-5 in an exciting back-and-forth match. Tyler DuBose and Evan Bishop delivered for the Blackhawks both up top and at the back of the defense. The duo scored three goals each, and each was strong in a stint between the pipes. Brian Feuerhelm scored the seventh goal for the Blackhawks. Cooper Layo was the anchor of the squad’s defensive efforts. The RYSC Condors knocked off the Loomis Galaxy 3-1 Saturday in under-12 boys play behind a pair of goals by Ryan Poindexter and a single tally from Robert Oliver. Dominic Turner played great defense and Gabe Ordorica was also strong. The U12 Roseville Thrashers beat the Lincoln Cougars 7-1 Saturday. Luke Askew found the back of the net five times for the Thrashers, who also got goals from Kyle Kamaka and Matthew Gorden. In U12 girls action, the Starfire outscored the Starblasters 6-1 in Roseville Youth Soccer play Saturday. Marissa Gans did an awesome job as goalie for most of the game, while Mackenzie Kirkpatrick (two goals) and Kyleigh Dingfelder had solid outings. Brianna Ferro, Jessica Leege, Kayla Kwong and Alex Evans all scored goals for the Starfire. The Leopards defeated the Wild Cheetahs 4-2, with Ashley Altmann, Stephanie Bradley, Isabella Garcia, Paloma Garcia, Jordan Gotham, Isabelle Hanson, Olivia Hazeghazam, Lana Lindley, Sarena Nielsen, Abby Root, Hailey Seva, Audrey Talmi and Katelynne Wade all contributing.
