Roseville, Granite Bay youth soccer report

The Soccer Blockers came back from a previous loss to take 5-1 win against the Roseville Chompers in under-14 girls play Saturday. Isabella Piacentini scored a pair of Blocker goals, and Madeline Drake, Megan Pieczynski, Cristina Berglund each scored single goals. The Roseville Thrashers beat the Rocklin Kings 8-0 in under-12 boys play. Nick Grashoff scored twice for the Thrashers, while Sean Wilton, ,Murphy Harrison, Parker Crews, Luke Askew, Johnny Cross and Jake LittleJohn also scored. The Condors knocked off the Bengals in another U12 contest. Troy Maldonado, Ryan Poindexter and Colten Borowiak did the scoring, and Gabe Ordorica, Andrew Smith and Grant Baer turned in solid performances. The U12 girls Starfire beat the Firecrackers 7-0, led by two goals each from Brianna Ferro and Camryn Franks. Courtney Wraa led the defensive effort. Kayla Kwong, Kourtney Milani and Alex Evans also scored for the Starfire. The Leopards took a 4-2 decision over the Pixie Chicks in girls U8 play. Katelynne Wade, Audrey Talmi, Hailey Seva, Abby Root, Sarena Nielsen, Lana Lindley, Olivia Hazeghazam, Isabelle Hanson, Jordan Gotham, Paloma Garcia, Isabella Garcia, Stephanie Bradley and Ashley Altmann did the job for the Leopards. Goals by Cole Maldonado, Ceasar Lewis, Scott Baer and Terrell Williams lifted the Yellow Jackets to a 5-3 win over the All Pros Saturday. Samuel Ordorica and Jayce Sanford also played well for the Yellow Jackets. Although the U8 Roseville Tigerettes suffered a 3-1 loss against the Roseville Eclipse, six-year-old Vanessa Vicente enjoyed scoring her very first soccer goal. Alexis Henkel, Madison Whitaker, Karley Garcia, Charlotte Lowe, Melanie Martinez, Sunaiya Sandhu, Kendall Steeves, Hannah Wirth, Alexa Camacho and Payton Kasch round out the Tigerettes roster. The Eureka Bobcats defeated the Rocklin Rockets 3-1 in U10 play. The Rockets scored first with a goal by Garrett Flowers. The Bobcats followed with two goals by Jayden Kasai and one by Walker Yarbrough. Strong defensive play by the Bobcats' Zach Whitten secured the victory. The Eureka Blackhawks beat the Kick-n-ators 5-0 in U6 division play. Brynn Sommer, Deven Chakrabarti, Evan Bishop and Samie Patterson all scored for the Blackhawks, while Clara Marks and Kerri Caulfield headed up the defense. Led by the efforts of Anderson Marks, Antonio Rizzuto, Brad Davito, Demitri Foye and Ryan Sollazzo, the Eureka Mighty Grizzlies beat the Crush 6-0 in an under-10 game. The Bulldozers beat the Saints 6-3 Saturday as Maddox Smith scored two goals with Nick Leonard, Luke Aubin, Tyler Duane and Alex Duenhoelter also finding the net. The Saints had three spectacular goals but in the end the Bulldozers prevailed. The Cheetahs beat the Keiki Kickers 4-3, with Emily Martin scoring twice and Annika Gresko adding the third Keiki Kicker goal. Sara Acevedo, Summer Frank and Natalie Joramo all played well. The Running Cheetahs were beaten by the Sunrays 5-1 in a hard fought game. Niyah Cohen scored the Running Cheetah's only goal in the final minutes of the game with the help of Adelyn Miranda. Defensive standouts included Julia Pertl and Makena Ogles.
