Roseville firefighters save the day for disappointed boy
Lincoln kid Everett Chilton got a special surprise visit with Roseville firefighters Tony LaPlante, Glenn Asbell and Rich Lawshe at Sutter Roseville Medical Center on March 1.
When 5-year-old Everett Chilton arrived in Sutter’s emergency department in the middle of the night on Feb. 28, he was upset about missing the next day’s field trip with his class from Creekside Oaks Elementary School. That field trip was to the Lincoln Fire Department.
So, pediatric nurses helped bring the field trip to Everett. They asked three firemen from Roseville Fire Station No. 6 to drop by the medical center’s pediatric unit. The firefighters gathered around Everett’s bed to tell him about their jobs and fire trucks, and brought along a child-sized helmet for the boy to keep.
