Roseville firefighters respond to burning house

Late Wednesday night, fire personnel raced to a multiple-alarm blaze that was engulfing a house in the northwest part of the city. According to eyewitnesses, engines from the Roseville Fire Department, the Rocklin Fire Department, the Loomis Fire Department and South Placer Fire converged on a residence in the 2000 block of McCloud Court, finding it lit by flames. Witnesses said firefighters worked on containment and clean-up for more than an hour. Emergency radio traffic also confirmed that the home was empty when the fire broke out. ~ Scott Thomas Anderson
