A 12-year-old Roseville boy battling brain cancer will be in the stands of the Superdome this Sunday for Super Bowl XLVII, as a recipient of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Dominik Morris, his 11-year-old sister Cassy, mom Claudia and dad Stephen left for New Orleans at 6 a.m. Wednesday, fulfilling the boy’s dream of seeing the NFL’s two top teams battle for the title.

Dominik is one of 12 kids with life-threatening medical conditions from around the United States who wished to attend the Super Bowl. The wishes were made possible through the generosity of the NFL and others, according to a press release. This year marks the 31st consecutive year that a wish kid will be present at the Super Bowl.

“We know that wish experiences like these can have a tremendous impact on wish kids and their families,” said foundation CEO Jennifer Stolo.
