Roseville bowler Hulsenberg is named to Team USA

Leanne Hulsenberg of Roseville was named to Team USA 2012 by the National Selection Committee.

Hulsenberg finished fifth at the USBC Team USA Trials last week in Las Vegas with a total pin fall of 5,824. Hulsenberg, a member of the USBC Hall of Fame, won the U.S. Women’s Open in July for her 27th career victory.

Also, Antelope High School senior Amanda Fry finished 51st in the women’s field of 80.

Loder now 22-1 after eighth pin

University of Northern Iowa sophomore Ryan Loder improved to 22-1 with a pin Sunday and is ranked sixth in the country at 184 pounds.

Loder, a graduate of Granite Bay High School, pinned Greg Isley at 5 minutes, 22 seconds to clinch Northern Iowa’s 33-12 victory over Air Force in a Western Wrestling Conference dual meet in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Loder has eight pins this season, according to, and is 6-0 in dual meets.
