Roseville bank robbed for second time in month

Roseville police are looking for a man who robbed a bank Tuesday morning. According to a Roseville Police Department press release, the robber walked into a River City Bank on the 3900 block of Douglas Boulevard just before 11:40 a.m. and handed the teller a note demanding money. After presenting the note, he took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot, southbound toward the Safeway shopping center. There were no reported injuries and no weapon was seen during the robbery. Officials said the robber is a black male in his 30s with black braids or dreadlocks worn in a ponytail. He was wearing a baseball cap with a logo on the front, a gold long-sleeved dress shirt and black tie, black slacks and a fanny pack. A similar robbery occurred at the same River City Bank on July 27 by a Caucasian man wearing a dress shirt, tie and baseball cap. The robbery is being investigated by the ROseville Police Department and the FBI. Anyone who recognizes the man in the surveillance photos is asked to call Roseville Crime Stoppers at (916) 783-STOP. Callers may remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.
