I crossed the picket line to shop at Raley’s because Raley’s is a good store and very friendly (Journal, Nov. 6).
I understand both sides of their problems. I feel that the union is wrong! All the Raley’s employees should have had the chance to vote on the new contract and on the strike.
All the employees’ union dues being deducted from their paychecks are very high. So, who needs the union?
Maybe the employees should vote out the union and save money on the dues. Do the retired Raley’s employees have to pay union dues?
The current employees should be grateful to have a job. So many people out of work.
