Lynn McDonald deserves your vote in the upcoming Placer Union High School District Board of Trustees election. During the 10 years I served as superintendent of the district, Lynn exemplified the qualities of a good board member: always prepared for the issues which needed to be addressed, an active listener and examiner of issues before the board, the quality of instruction and student interests were always at the top of her agenda as well as fiscal restraint and responsibility.
Lynn McDonald, although from the Colfax area, always looked to the greater good of the entire district and the issue of educational equity across the system — from the adult school to the comprehensive high schools to the alternative and special education program.
The district needs the institutional memory of Mrs. McDonald, her intellectual integrity and her willingness to vote for what needs to be done — not what is expedient.
I urge all voters to seriously consider, and support, Lynn McDonald.
