As a board member of the Roseville High School District, I care very deeply about the Eureka Union School District. Its students will eventually move on to our high school and ensuring that they have a strong educational foundation is of the utmost importance to me.
The state just released district test scores and again, the Eureka school district scored the highest of any elementary school district in the area. Impressively, they have had significant gains over the last few years. When you couple these scores with the fact that they have the lowest class sizes in the area and the district is fiscally strong despite chronic funding issues from the state, there is no doubt that the Eureka school district is amongst these best in California and we cannot afford a change in leadership at this time.
For the sake of our kids, local business community, and property values this trend must continue. That is why I support re-electing Board President Kristie Greiss to the Eureka School Board, maintaining the steady leadership that has brought the district to these great heights. Let’s keep the Eureka district excellent. Let’s keep Kristie Greiss.
