Rene Aguilera has my enthusiastic endorsement for a position on the Roseville Joint Union High School District Governing Board.
Currently on the Roseville City Elementary School District Governing Board, Aguilera has gained 10 years of valuable experience dealing with repeated painful budget cuts to our schools while working with the superintendent to keep the district strong and innovative.
His steadiness, knowledge and leadership will be particularly crucial for the next four years, given Propositions 30 and 38 that fund schools that his three incumbent opponents oppose as they stated at the Placer County Women League of Voters public forum.
Aguilera’s opponents transplanted to the Granite Bay area, as well as another board member not up for office. Aguilera was born and raised in Roseville and attended Cirby, Eich and Roseville High and lives in the Central Downtown area near Royer Park.
Aguilera’s background and involvement in community organizations are truly extraordinary. Roseville is very lucky to have such a dedicated public servant willing to represent us on the high school board.
I ask you to join me in voting for Aguilera in November.
Your support for Aguilera will make a difference to our high schools and community.
Jamey Harden, Roseville
