"Ragtime" hits Roseville

Magic Circle Theatre in Roseville presents the musical “Ragtime” as their 21st season opener. The musical weaves historical characters together through music and stories from three groups: a Harlem musician, the mother of a Protestant family and a Jewish immigrant. Stephen Nichols, left, a former cast member on MTV’s “The Real World” in Denver, plays Coalhouse Walker Jr., a Harlem musician and Erin Johnson Gabriele plays Mother, head of a Protestant family in New Rochelle, N.Y. in “Ragtime.” “Ragtime” will play at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. on Sundays through Oct. 4 at Magic Circle Theatre in Roseville, 241 Vernon St. Tickets are $22-$25 for general admission, $20-$22 for seniors, $15-$17 for students and $12-$14 for children under 11 years old.
