Quakes rattle Crushers in U6 coed soccer

Andrew Gordon scored 11 seconds into the game and Andrew Curtan had a hat trick to lift the Earthquakes over the Crushers 5-0 in an under-6 coed soccer game. Curtan trapped Ash Erskine’s corner kick and shot the ball into the net.
Erskine also scored a goal and played great defense, and Camden Ferro was aggressive on several breakaway opportunities.

U19 boys
Eureka Warriors win tourney
– The Eureka Warriors, a U19 boys select soccer team, won the Fair Oaks Goal Rush Classic the weekend of Sept. 25 and 26 at Cherry Island. Johnathon Beach scored the winning goal in overtime as the Warriors defeated a Rohnert Park team 2-1.

U14 girls
Roseville Starfire 2, Roseville Clovers 0
– Rebecca Endres’ outstanding defense helped Marissa Gans record a shutout in goal, and aggressive Lauren Bailey won every battle for a loose ball in her area as the Starfire beat the Clovers. Abby Nye and Mackenzie Kirkpatrick scored, and Maddy Dettis assisted on both goals.

U11 girls
Eureka Wildcats 7, Modesto United Premium 0
– Hannah Bonfils scored two goals, and Sydney Schreiner, Nicole Daley, Katie Hunter, Scout Sanders and Jazzlyn Venkataya each scored one as the Wildcats rolled in Modesto. Alyssa Tremblay led the Wildcats on defense.

U10 girls
Spunkies 2, Keiki Kickers 1
– Emily Martin scored for the Kickers and nearly scored two more goals. Maddie Weidner, Madison Pearson and Sara Acevedo also played well for the Kickers.

U8 boys
Cougars 1, Grass Sharks 0
– Mitchell Jamison scored his first goal ever to lead the Cougars. Phillip Semenov’s aggressive play stopped several attempts on goal by the Grass Sharks, and goalie Ricky Mejia stopped every shot.

U8 girls
Eureka Mighty Lions 8, Panda Bears 1
– The first-place Mighty Lions ran their season-opening winning streak to four with a win over the Panda Bears. Isabella Garcia used her strong right foot to score three goals, Audrey Talmi and Jordan Gotham scored two each, and Hailey Seva had one goal.
