Chabad of Roseville invites the community to celebrate the Festival of Lights at a special Chanukah open house concluding with a public menorah kindling ceremony. The celebration takes place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 21 on the upper level of Westfield Galleria at Roseville (between Yankee Candle and Limited Too). The lighting ceremony will be held at 5:30 p.m. There will be activities and shows, including the world famous Olive Oil Press Show and a Chanukah gift shop. “Chanukah is a holiday that enriches our lives with the light of tradition,” said Rabbi Yossi Korik, director of Chabad of Roseville. “In ancient times our ancestors rededicated the temple in Jerusalem with the menorah. Today, we rededicate ourselves to making this world a better and brighter place.” In its Chanukah outreach campaign, Chabad of Roseville joins thousands of Chabad centers across the globe that are staging similar public displays of the menorah and its symbolic lights. There will also be a menorah kindling ceremony at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, at Quarry Ponds in Granite Bay.
