Promote cross-cultural connections by hosting international students
Educational Homestay Programs, a division of Education First, is a nonprofit based in Cambridge, Mass. EHP is bringing students from France, China, Austria, Hong Kong, Germany and Spain this summer to study English and experience the American way of life.
Organizers are currently looking for homes for these students in Roseville, Rocklin, Granite Bay, Loomis, Citrus Heights and Antelope.
The students, ages 13-18, will visit from July 17 to Aug. 5. The students will be under the supervision of ED program staff from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, attending language classes in the morning and participating in a variety of organized educational activities and field trips. Host families may join for activities.
Volunteer host families are asked to provide a bed, meals and transportation to and from the pickup/dropoff location in their neighborhood. Families may choose to host a boy or girl from any of the visiting countries. For every family referred to EHP, a chosen organization or charity will receive a $25 donation and earn discounts on other EF travel products.
