Do you know what to do in the event of a disaster? Preparedness will be on the agenda Saturday, when several public agencies gather for an emergency preparedness safety fair hosted by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter -day Saints. The event is designed to educate the public and help them prepare for and respond to a range of emergencies, including natural disasters and other incidents. Attendees will hear from the American Red Cross, California Highway Patrol, Sheriff?s Department, police and fire agencies, SPCA PG&E and more. They?ll also learn about 72-hour kits, family emergency plans, vehicle emergency kits, water and food storage, first-aid and more. Roseville?s Masonic Lodge will also provide child identification kits with fingerprinting. This free event is made available for no cost to all members of the public; organizers said in a news release that no religious proselytizing will be offered. The fair takes place 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at 211 Estates Drive in Roseville. For more information, call Paul Artley at 797-2311.
