Postseason schedule is heavy for Roseville schools

As high school girls golf winds down, football and volleyball are preparing to start the Sac-Joaquin Section playoffs. Action continues Saturday, Nov. 6, with the first round of the Division II girls water polo playoffs at Woodcreek and heats up more next week with the first round of volleyball Tuesday, Nov. 9, and football Friday, Nov. 12. Here’s the local schedule for the next week:

Girls water polo
First round at Woodcreek:
Woodcreek vs. Del Campo, 10:15 a.m.; Granite Bay vs. El Dorado, 12:45 p.m.
Quarterfinals: Tuesday at 1 p.m., 2:15, 3:30 and 4:45. Semifinals: Thursday at 11:30 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. Final: Saturday, Nov. 13, at 11:30 a.m.
Cross country
Sub-Section Meet at Frogtown, Angels Camp, 9:30 a.m. Section Meet: Saturday, Nov. 13, at Willow Hill (Folsom).

Girls golf
NorCal Championships
At Stockton Country Club

Ashley Noda, a Roseville resident who plays for St. Francis, is scheduled to start at 8 a.m. on the first tee. Paige Lee, playing individually, of Granite Bay will tee off at 9:45 on No. 10.
Girls team tennis
Christian Brothers at Granite Bay, 2 p.m.
Semifinals: Wednesday at 2 p.m. Final: Friday at 2 p.m.

Boys water polo
Quarterfinals at Woodcreek:
Games at 8 a.m., 9:15, 10:30 and 11:45. Semifinals: Thursday at 9 a.m. and 10:15. Final: Saturday, Nov. 13, at 10 a.m.
Boys soccer
Rio Linda at Granite Bay, 3 p.m. Semifinals: Thursday at 3 p.m. Final: Saturday, Nov. 13.
Girls volleyball
First round (all matches at 7 p.m.)
Division II:
No. 12 Oakmont at No. 5 Rio Americano, No. 13 Roseville at No. 4 Vacaville. Quarterfinals: Thursday at home sites. Semifinals: Tuesday, Nov. 16, at home sites. Final: Thursday, Nov. 18, at UC Davis, 8 p.m.
Division VI: No. 7 Trinity Prep at No. 2 Valley Christian. Semifinals: Thursday at home sites. Final: Thursday, Nov. 18, at UC Davis, 4 p.m.
