Police plan sobriety, license check Friday

-A +A
The Roseville Police Department will conduct a sobriety and driver’s license checkpoint Friday at an undisclosed location with a significant history of DUI-related traffic collisions and DUI arrests. Officers will screen all drivers passing through the checkpoint and will arrest any drivers suspected of being impaired by alcohol or other drugs. Those without a valid driver’s license will be cited and their vehicles may be impounded. The Roseville Police Department conducts sobriety and driver’s license checkpoints regularly to take dangerous drivers off the road, and to raise the awareness of all motorists about the serious consequences of drinking and driving. Funding for Roseville’s sobriety checkpoints is provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
