Roseville residents who may see police and fire personnel near Sutter Roseville Medical Center Wednesday morning need not be alarmed. The Roseville Police and Fire departments are conducting an emergency preparedness exercise, which began around 9 a.m. People in the area of the hospital may see SWAT team operations and hear unusual noises, but it is only a training exercise, according to Roseville police. The exercise is one of the activities Roseville Police and Fire departments conduct periodically, in partnership with other local agencies, to ensure readiness to respond effectively together to real emergencies. Roseville Police and Fire departments are working in partnership with Sutter Roseville Medical Center staff, the Placer County Sheriff’s Office and the Rocklin Police Department. ~ Toby Lewis
