Move over, Lassie. A Roseville police dog Monday helped find a septuagenarian who has Alzeheimer’s syndrome, according to a release.
The Roseville resident had wandered from her home, prompting several officers to scour the neighborhood around 10 p.m.
But minutes after Apollo and his police handler, Scott Miskewcycz, arrived, the canine found the lost woman and reunited her with family.
Police also gave the family information about Project Lifesaver, which provides free tracking bracelets to Roseville residents with dementia-related conditions. For more information about Project Lifesaver, call (916) 746-1077, or visit the Police Department’s Project Lifesaver website.
