Business owners who want to delve deeper into the world of social media to grow their business can attend this month’s Placer Business TweetUp. The event is designed for anyone and everyone who is using or wants to know how to use social media platforms to grow their business, according to Jackie McLain, membership representative with the Roseville Chamber of Commerce. Placer Business TweetUp founder Josh Unfried, CEO of Wind Farm Marketing, said the event is an offline opportunity to build business connections with people that are somehow connected online. “There are a lot of business owners in Placer County who are using social media to grow their business and connect with other business owners,” Unfried said. “It’s very informal, casual networking.” Each month, the TweetUp event is held at a different location, usually in Roseville. Food and drinks are served, and this month Nugget Market will be serving up appetizers such as chicken satay, Sonoran Corn, Flank Crostinis and more. The event is free and organizers ask that anyone who wishes to attend preregister by visiting the event’s website. “Most of the people there are already on Twitter,” McLain said. “They understand the culture. It’s a matter of being able to invite other people to come share that world with them.” For more information, visit Toby Lewis can be reached at Follow him on Twitter @TobyLewis_RsvPT. ---------- What: Placer Business TweetUp When: 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday Where: Nugget Market, 771 Pleasant Grove Blvd., Roseville Info:
