GOP Tournament The Grand Old Party of Placer County is sponsoring its annual Chairman’s Cup/GOP Golf Tournament to be held May 4. The Morgan Creek Golf and Country Club is the location and begins 8 a.m. The cost to play is $60 per person for those signing up before April 26. The price goes up to $75 after that date. The event will be held at Woodcreek Golf Club, 5880 Woodcreek Oaks Blvd. Roseville. Father Eric Lofgren is honorary chairman and invites all to participate in this fun-filled event. Registration starts at 11 a.m. and tee off is a shotgun start scheduled for 1 p.m. The format is four-ball scramble with awards for men, women, and mixed groups. The cost is $160 for a single player, or $600 per foursome. This includes green fees, range balls, prizes (special hole-in-one prize) and the post-tournament dinner.
