The Placer Care Coalition will host its wine- and food-tasting event April 28, at Morgan Creek Golf & Country Club.

“Raising Spirits” raises funds for four local nonprofit organizations that help the homeless and poor and their children and families in Placer County. Lazarus Project, Roseville HomeStart, St. Vincent de Paul and What Would Jesus Do? help with a variety of things, such as hot meals, housing, job training, parenting classes, transportation, counseling, educational skills, money management, a medical clinic and a thrift store.

There will be 10-12 wine/beer tables and 10-12 food tasting tables. Each vendor will have bites and drinks to taste throughout the event. There will also be a silent and live auction going on during the tastings. This year’s goal is to raise $75,000.
