Permit application for firework booths now available

City will offer 10 permits to nonprofit organizations
-A +A

Local nonprofit organizations can now apply for a fireworks booth permit from the city of Roseville.

Ten permits are available this year for organizations that meet certain criteria. The group must qualify as a nonprofit organization or corporation formed primarily for veteran, patriotic, welfare, civil betterment or charitable purposes, and must have a bona fide membership of at least 20 members.

The organization must have been in existence within Roseville for a period of one year prior to the fireworks booth permit application date.

If the Roseville Fire Department receives more than 10 eligible applications, a lottery drawing will be held on Wednesday, March 7.

Fireworks are illegal in the unincorporated areas of Placer County, including in Granite Bay.
