Pedestrian hit at Eureka and Interstate 80By: Press Tribune staff
Roseville emergency responders rushed to the Interstate 80 on-ramp of Eureka Road around 2 p.m. today after a pedestrian was struck by a car.
According to the Roseville Police Department, the man was attempting to walk his bike across the on-ramp when the collision occurred.
“He was trying to get across, but he wasn’t using a crosswalk,” said Roseville Police Sgt. Karl Dyer. “He was hit by a car that didn’t have time to see him.”
Dyer added the pedestrian was a white male in his late 20s or early 30s.
Firefighters arrived to find the man suffering from pain in his head and legs. He was rushed by ambulance to nearby Sutter Roseville Medical Center. Roseville police managed to control the scene without major impacts on the flow of traffic.
