The 48th Annual Sylvia Besana Holiday Parade was a great way to kick off the holiday season. Despite the storm the day before, the weather was terrific and the entries were as well. Thank you to our partners The Press Tribune, city of Roseville and all who participated in Roseville’s longest running tradition! And, now that the holiday season is under way, shopping locally for all of our needs is especially important for the vitality of our city; we need to keep our tax dollars local to insure a healthy Roseville economy. The Roseville Chamber online directory is your guide to local services and products. Check out the vast array of products, services and shopping opportunities at www.rosevillechamber.com. Many Roseville Chamber members even offer a discount to their fellow members. Call me personally at 783-8136 if you can’t find what you are looking for and I will be happy to research a local vendor for you. 2010 is right around the corner and now is the time to begin thinking about your New Year marketing plan. The Roseville Chamber is busy planning a year full of opportunities for you and your business. Whether it be our free marketing speaker series, social media classes, more than 100 networking opportunities and countless sponsorship opportunities with recently implemented small business levels, there is something every business in Roseville can gain from Chamber membership; most importantly a strong voice for our business community to promote the community, ensure a strong economy, providing opportunities to make business connections and powerful advocacy for area commerce. According to Bryan Fikes at Zenergy Internet Marketing the following is the number one mistake that business owners make when advertising: “You begin advertising with the intention of someday stopping.” As long as you are in business you have to consistently market and advertise in some form to bring new customers to your business, reinforce your value proposition to current customers, and (if you are aggressive) create new revenue streams to fend off competitors who want a share of your market. Do your business a favor and check out the power of our advertising opportunities by contacting Jackie McLain at 783-5997 or jackie@rosevillechamber.com.
