The Roseville Police Department is investigating the murder of Roseville businessman Christopher Northam which took place within his business off of Industrial Avenue on Monday. Roseville Police responded to a call of shots fired at 3:19 p.m. “During the call, the person on the phone line with us then heard three gunshots, at least three, maybe more gunshots inside the business,” Roseville Police Sgt. Daniel Wanamaker said. Once on scene, the police made their way into the building. “Entering buildings is a very dangerous event for us so we surrounded the building,” Wanamaker said. “We then built a tactical team using bulletproof shields and rifles, and the best we could, and just made entry into the business as soon as we had enough man power.” At approximately 3:55 p.m., the police discovered Northam's body. According to the police, a suspect has not been located. “We did do a search immediately around the facility including the fields and also with a helicopter to look for anyone that could have escaped or got out of the perimeter we had originally setup,” Wanamaker said. “Right now, we have no suspect information.” The business, an indoor water sports park called Skim X, planned to open soon. --Updated at 11:13 p.m., Monday--
