Molly Fisk to close out poetry series
Molly Fisk and Paco Marquez will read at the final 2011 Outta the Blue Poetry Series event Thursday, Nov. 10, at the Blue Line Gallery in Roseville.
Fisk, of Nevada City, began writing at the age of 35. She’s the co-author of “Listening to Winter, Terrain,” the letterpress chapbook “Salt Water Poems” and the CD of radio commentary “Using Your Turn Signal Promotes World Peace.”
Born in Mexico City, Marquez moved with his family to Sacramento at the age of 13. He currently serves on the board of the Sacramento Poetry Center.
This year’s three-part poetry series is the second annual event, which benefits Roseville Arts, the nonprofit organization behind the Blue Line Gallery. The inaugural event in 2010 featured Fisk and Sacramento Poet Laureate Bob Stanley.
