Minor grabbed outside of school gym

Roseville Police are searching for a suspect who allegedly grabbed a teenage girl outside of a school gymnasium Wednesday evening. The 14-year-old girl reported that a stranger grabbed her arm outside the gymnasium at Eich Intermediate School on Sierra Gardens Drive in Roseville at around 7:15 p.m. The girl, who was at a club volleyball practice and stepped outside to cool off, said a stranger approached her and tried to pull her away from the gym doors. She was able to break free, run back into the gym and tell her coach what happened. No injuries were reported. The suspect is described as a “chubby” Hispanic male in his 30s, approximately 6 feet tall, with a dirty appearance. He has short dark hair, little to no facial hair and was wearing dark clothing, including a long-sleeved shirt. He allegedly ran toward the greenbelt south of the school after the incident. Roseville Police officers arrived at the school within minutes and searched the area, but were not able to locate the suspect.
