McCormick & Schmick’s to open at Fountains Feb. 9

Fresh fish will be closer to home with the opening of McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurant at Fountains at Roseville Feb. 9. The second for the Sacramento area, the 8,000-square-foot Roseville location will have seating for 300, 50 for private dining and 60 at both the bar and outside patio. Sample menu items are Hawaiian Kona Kampachi with fresh avocado soy sauce and white truffle oil and jumbo seared sea scallops with pea tendrils and carrot chipotle sauce. McCormick & Schmick’s menu also includes aged steaks, poultry, entrée salads and pasta. Glass artist Chuck Franklin of Portland, Ore. has provided and handcrafted the original stained glass pieces featured at all McCormick & Schmick’s restaurants for 30 years. His latest pieces are featured at the Roseville location. Daniel Shinaut of Rocklin has been named general manager and Ray Wirtz will head the kitchen as executive chef. The Roseville McCormick and Schmick’s is located in the Fountains at 1194 Roseville Parkway across from Jos. A. Bank and West Elm.
