Max Miller's Clinic of Champions slated for Feb. 26-27
Boise State's Chris Peterson heads list of more than 25 speakers
Former Cordova High head football coach and current member of Folsom High’s coaching staff Max Miller will hold his 30th annual football Clinic of Champions on Feb. 26-27 at the Peppermill Resort in Reno. The clinic is open to all high school and youth football coaches and will feature more than two dozen guest speakers, including keynote speaker Chris Peterson, the head coach at Boise State University, as well as several other collegiate coaches. The two-day clinic, which is the largest of its kind on the West Coast, is a great opportunity for coaches to learn from other coaches, according to Miller. Local high school coaches also speaking at the clinic include Rocklin's Greg Benzel, Roseville's Larry Cunha and Casa Roble's Norm Ryan. Benzel will discuss Keys to Successful Play Action and Program Player Development. Cunha will discuss his team's rushing attack at Roseville as well as their passing game and will also have a clinic called "From Full House to Spread." Ryan will have three clinics on "Building a Successful High School Program," "Installing the Spread - Running Game and Pass Pro," and "Stopping The Spread Offense -- Who Has The Chalk Last." There is also a program for cheerleader coaches as well. For more information and for registration details, visit clinicofchampions.com. Max Miller can also be reached at 996-9506.
