A 36-year-old North Highlands resident was arrested on suspicion of taking pictures of young swimmers participating in a championship meet at Sierra College on Saturday morning. Leandro Quimosing Enciso was spotted by parents attempting to take pictures of children in their swimsuits. When a swim league official tried to question Enciso, one parent reported, the man fled. An off-duty Sacramento Sheriff’s deputy, who was at the meet with his children, chased Enciso down and held him until Rocklin officers arrived and arrested him, reported Rocklin Police Lt. Lon Milka. Milka indicated that Enciso also had outstanding misdemeanor warrants. He is being held at the Placer County Jail. Bail was set at $52,500. More than 1,400 youth, ages 4 to 18, participated in a championship meet hosted by the Suburban Swim League. Swimmers from eight teams from Loomis, Granite Bay, Folsom, El Dorado Hills, Sacramento and Shingle Springs attended the event. ~ Gloria Beverage
