A Roseville man is out on bail after allegedly ramming the back of another car in Auburn Monday.

Mark William Mickle, 56, was arrested on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon after he was reportedly involved with an incident at about 3:24 p.m. on Highway 49 near Borland Avenue in Auburn, according to Auburn Police Sgt. Victor Pecoraro in a press release issued Tuesday evening.

Auburn dispatch received “multiple calls” for the incident, Pecoraro said, that involved Mickle ramming into the back of another vehicle after the vehicle had passed him in a passing area south of the city limit.

Two people inside the car reported minor injuries including a sore neck and back.

Mickle left the scene before police arrived, but was later found by Roseville Police Department officers, Pecoraro said.

An Auburn police officer then met Mickle at his Roseville home and arrested him. He was booked into Placer County Jail and later released on $25,000 bail.
