The Legends Charity Golf Classic, benefiting Athletes vs. Cancer and Shoulder to Shoulder, is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 12, at Woodcreek Golf Club.
Registration and the driving range open at 10:30 a.m. A luncheon also begins at 10:30, and a shotgun start is at 12:30 p.m. Following the four-person scramble tournament, which features various contests, an awards dinner and announcement of raffle prizes will be held at 6 p.m.
The cost for individual golfers is $125, which includes green fee, cart, use of the driving range, lunch, dinner and chances to win awards. A gold sponsorship costs $1,000 and includes four player entries, four dinner tickets, 100 raffle tickets, a banner and two tee sponsorships. A silver sponsorship, costing $800, includes four players, 60 raffle tickets and two tee sponsorships. A bronze sponsorship costs $600 and includes four entries, 20 raffle tickets and one tee sponsorship.
A dinner-only ticket is $40. Hole and tee sponsorships cost $250 and $150.
Athletes vs. Cancer raises funds for cancer screening in low-income areas. Shoulder to Shoulder works with young men without fathers.

ClubCorp Charity Golf Tournament on Oct. 12
The sixth annual ClubCorp Charity Classic Golf Tournament will take place Friday, Oct. 12, at Granite Bay Golf Club.
Cost is $125 per person, which includes green fee, cart, range balls, box lunch and an awards dinner that features dancing and a silent auction. Dinner only is $35 per person.
The tournament begins with lunch available at 11:30 a.m., and the shotgun start is at 1 p.m. The buffet dinner features prime rib, pasta stations and more.
The ClubCorp Charity Classic benefits the Placer Breast Cancer Endowment, Augie’s Quest for ALS research and the Employment Partners Care Foundation, which provides financial assistance in times of crisis. ClubCorp has raised more than $8.2 million at its annual Charity Classic, dating to 2007.

Lions Club charity golf in Lincoln
The Lincoln Hills Lions Club will hold its annual charity golf classic at 9 a.m. Monday, Oct. 22, at Lincoln Hills Golf Club.
Prizes will go to the top three foursomes, top two closest to the pin, longest drive and straightest drive. There will be an international buffet luncheon, goodie bags and more.
Fees are $95 for an individual and $370 for a foursome. Proceeds benefit local schools, Ride to Walk, Guide Dogs for the Blind, Lincoln PAL, Special Olympics and the Lions Education Foundation.
