Behind a one-under-par performance by freshman Paige Lee, the Granite Bay High girls golf team took home another win Thursday with a 221-227 advantage over Woodcreek at Sierra Pines. Lee fired a 35 to win the individual low score in the nine-hole event, while teammate Kelly Steindorf carded a 38 to tie with Woodcreek’s Dana Vasko for the second-best total on the day. With all of the Woodcreek players recording scores below 50, the strength of its top two scorers carried the Grizzlies to the victory. Woodcreek hosts Oakmont at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Sierra Pines, and Granite Bay welcomes Del Oro to the Granite Bay Golf Club at 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
