Lee’s long run ends in San Jose
By: Staff Report
Grizzly freshman two strokes off qualifying score
After an amazing run that took her through the divisional and section tournaments, Granite Bay freshman golfer Paige Lee fell just short Monday in San Jose. The young Grizzly golfer turned in a solid 15th place performance at the Almaden Country Club in San Jose, but fell just short of the required number to reach the state finals. Lee fired a five-over par 77 Monday, on a day with a 75 would have qualified her for a playoff to earn the third at-large spot in the state tourney. St. Francis won the team portion of the tournament to advance as a unit to the state finals. Alameda and Granada also earned team spots at the next level.
