Big M Fishery hosts event
The Kiwanis Club of Roseville held its third annual Kiwanis Fishing Derby May 20 at the Big M Fishery in Lincoln for the local Cub Scouts who termed the event ?awesome.? Big M?s Matt Parr and his staff stocked the catfish pond so 100 Scouts and siblings would have a great day of fishing. A trophy was awarded to Cub Scout Packs 112, 252 and 1592 for the longest fish. After the siren ended the derby, 300 Scouts and guests gathered for a hot dog lunch courtesy of the Kiwanis Club. The event was chaired by Mike Herbert with Kiwanis registered anglers serving as guides, mentors and servers for lunch.
