Kids learn good health at "Play to Thrive"

Event includes hula hoop, hopscotch, jump rope and more
-A +A

Children have extra time on their hands during summer.

Why not encourage them to fill those hours with games such as hopscotch, hula hoop, jump rope and drums alive - when kids bang wooden drumsticks on rubber exercise balls.

Physical activity is a prescription ordered by doctors at Kaiser Permanente Roseville Medical Center, given the alarming rates of overweight and obese children. Kaiser is hosting Play to Thrive Saturday at the Westfield Galleria mall for kids 10 and under to enjoy physical activities. Doctors will be there to answer parents' questions about children's health, sun safety tips and good nutrition.
