It's Granite Bay vs. Rio Americano in Division II boys, girls water polo finals

Grizzlies girls top Woodcreek in semifinals

Granite Bay High School will have its boys and girls water polo teams playing in the Sac-Joaquin Section Division II championship games Saturday, Nov. 13.
Coach Sarah Norton likes where the girls team is following an 11-4 victory over Woodcreek on Thursday in the semifinals at the Roseville Aquatics Center.
Granite Bay’s boys trailed El Camino 3-2 after one quarter in their semifinal before Andrew Murch led a comeback that saw the Grizzlies outscore the Eagles 13-3 in the second and third periods. Murch scored nine of his 10 goals in the middle quarters.
The boys final is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, followed by the girls final at 11:30. The Division I finals will be played at 1 p.m. (boys) and 2:30 (girls).
