Alejandro Morales, 25, of Roseville, reportedly drove drunk before midnight Nov. 19, leading to a hit and run causing injury. He rammed a 2005 Audi sedan into a 2002 Mazda MPV van — both going west on Roseville Parkway near West Drive — pushing the van off the road and into a tree close. The Mazda driver, 34, of Citrus Heights, was taken to Sutter Roseville Medical Center with serious injuries, police said. He is in critical condition. Morales ditched his car on Gibson Drive and ran to a friend’s house, where police found him around 1 a.m. They arrested him without incident on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs causing injury, and hit and run causing injury. Morales is in custody at the Placer County Jail on $75,000 bail. The collision is being investigated by the Roseville Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team. ~ Staff report
