Help name Fire Station No. 9
The city of Roseville is seeking nominations from residents for the naming of Fire Station No. 9, located off Hayden Parkway in the west part of town.
The 10,000-square-foot fire station will house three rotating crews that work 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and will include a state-of–the-art station alerting system, energy efficient lighting, and is equipped to operate as a City Rehabilitation Site in the event of an emergency, according to a news release.
“This neighborhood fire station will serve the community, which is why we want the public’s help to determine the name,” said Fire Chief Marcus Reed.
All fire department facilities are named after distinguished members of the Roseville Fire Department or community. That person must be deceased, and have made a significant contribution to the fire department and city.
Nominations can be found online at www.roseville.ca.us/fire and must be submitted by Monday, April 1, in person or by mail to the City Clerk’s Office, 311 Vernon St., Roseville, CA 95678.
