Grizzly netters sweep Woodcreek

The Granite Bay High boys tennis team dropped just a single set in nine matches as it dropped Woodcreek 9-0 last Thursday. Eric Renslo of Woodcreek won his first set in No. 2 doubles 6-4 over the Grizzlies’ Jake Keester, but Keester managed to win the second set in a tiebreaker before rolling to a three-set win, winning the final two sets 7-6, 6-2. Drew Forlini, Granite Bay’s No. 1 singles player took the top match 6-2, 6-0 over Kurt Grinsell and the top doubles contest went to the Grizzlies’ Nicholas McDonald and Kevin Carlson 6-1, 6-3 over Kevin Wu and Mike Bigelaizen.
