Grizzly Kids Wrestling Club is taking signups

Clinics on Feb. 5 for baseball, lacrosse

The Grizzly Kids Wrestling Club will take signups tonight for its spring program, which is open to junior high students.

The session is scheduled from 5:30-8:30 p.m. tonight in the foyer of the main gym at Granite Bay High School during the Grizzlies’ Sierra Foothill League varsity and junior varsity dual meets against Woodcreek.

Registration costs $150 and includes a T-shirt and singlet. Wrestlers must have a current USA Wrestling card.

Oakmont baseball clinic on Feb. 5
Oakmont High School will hold a baseball skills clinic for boys and girls ages 6-13 from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the varsity field.

The cost is $30 (pre-registration is $27 if postmarked by today), and proceeds will benefit the Oakmont baseball program. The fee includes a camp shirt. Oakmont players and coaches will handle the instruction.

Campers should bring a glove.

Free lacrosse clinic for girls on Feb. 5
Granite Bay Youth Lacrosse will hold a “Try It Out” session for girls in fifth through eighth grades from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at Granite Bay High School. Beginners are welcome, and equipment will be provided.
