The Granite Bay High junior varsity boys volleyball team beat Oakmont Thursday in two games, 25-17, 25-21. Game one was all Granite Bay, dominated by the play of Bryan Berry, who contributed five kills and three blocks and scored four of the first seven points. He was helped by Matt Austin (three kills) and Jordan Long. The Grizzlies slumped a little in the second game, mostly on the defensive end, with a number of unforced errors. They got by because they matched the Vikings with 11 kills from Jacob Ball, Matt Austin, Bryan Berry, Kyle Cady, Carson Odegard and Robert Bell to hang on to the win.
