The Granite Bay High boys basketball team won the battle of the painted area in Monday’s 66-56 win over Rosemont. John Davis dropped in 27 points to lead the way, and Braden Young added a dozen points of his own. Jacob Keys tossed in 14 points off the Granite Bay bench. “We did a great job of getting the ball inside, where John Davis and Braden Young really stepped up and controlled the paint,” said Granite Bay coach Jason Sitterud. The Grizzlies head to San Diego next Monday for the Surf and Slam Tournament.
