Granite Bay Youth Lacrosse to hold New Player Festival on June 3
Granite Bay Youth Lacrosse will hold its second New Player Festival from 3-5 p.m. Sunday at Cavitt Junior High School.
The clinic is for second- through seventh-graders, costs $25 and includes a lacrosse stick and ball kids can take home. Additional information can be found at www.gblax.org.
Granite Bay’s organization grew 40 percent this season, including a new program for kids ages 8-11.
The varsity boys team has won the Sacramento Valley Lacrosse Championship three years in a row. The U11 Grizzlies capped their season by going 7-0 to win the Surf City Tournament in Scotts Valley and finishing with a 25-2 record and the No. 1 ranking by the Northern California Junior Lacrosse Association. The U15B team went 18-1.
