Granite Bay High School received a No. 4 seed for the Sac-Joaquin Section Division I volleyball playoffs, and Oakmont is the No. 9 seed in Division III, it was announced Thursday.

The Grizzlies (22-7) will be host to Stockton-Edison (14-4) at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Granite Bay finished second to Rocklin in the Sierra Foothill League.

“The girls did a great job at the beginning about setting realistic and high goals,” Granite Bay coach Jamie Ingram said. “That’s huge. It was their winning attitude that got us the 4 seed.”

Oakmont (20-13), which finished third in the Capital Valley Conference behind Christian Brothers and Bella Vista, will travel to No. 8 Los Banos at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Valley Christian Academy (14-8) is the No. 7 seed in Division VI. The Lions play at No. 2 Groveland-Tioga (16-4) at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Valley Christian went undefeated last season before losing to Woodland Christian in the Division VI final.

Quarterfinal matches will be held Thursday in Divisions I and III with the semifinals Tuesday, Nov. 15, and the finals Thursday, Nov. 17, at UC Davis. The Division VI semifinals are next Thursday and the final Nov. 17 at UC Davis.
