The grandfather of a 2-year-old Roseville girl who was found dead in his home last month has been arrested on child pornography charges. Daniel Harrison McGrath, 58, of Roseville was arrested Friday morning by Roseville police without incident, according to Dee Dee Gunther, spokeswoman for the Roseville Police Department. He is currently being held in Sacramento County Jail and is ineligible for bail. McGrath?s granddaughter, McKinley Wilder, was found dead inside his Diamond Oaks Road home on April 4. McGrath?s daughter Denise Wilder, 37, was arrested April 5 on suspicion of murdering the 2-year-old, however Wilder was released as no charges have been filed against her. The cause of the toddler?s death has not been released, pending a final autopsy report. According to a criminal complaint filed in the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of California, McGrath knowingly possessed visual depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct. During the investigation into the death of his granddaughter at his residence, law enforcement officials seized numerous laptop computers, thumb drives, VHS tapes and CDs that contained graphic depictions of minors involved in sex acts. Officials estimated there were some 3,000 images and videos of child pornography. Among the material were numerous images showing live births as well as a video of McKinley Wilder?s birth. Some VHS tapes appeared to be hidden camera footage of his nude daughters inside a Rocklin home. There were other videos taken outside of unsuspecting adult women?s windows in what officials believe is a Rocklin neighborhood, however it is unknown the exact location and time these videos were taken. During an interview with Roseville Police on April 5, detectives informed McGrath that they would be searching his computer and other items in the house. McGrath then reportedly told detectives, ?You are going to go on (the computer) and see some underage stuff,? according to the criminal complaint.
