The Granite Bay High swim team took a trip to the deep end of the pool Saturday, taking on a number of Bay Area powers at the Palo Alto Invitational. Grizzly senior Haley Anderson was one of the top performers in the hometown of Stanford University, soon to be a rival when she takes her swimming talents to USC in the fall. Anderson was a three-time winner, taking the 200-yard freestyle in 1:52.49 and the 500 free in 4:49.40. She also joined forces with Jillian Garton, Sophie Weber and Shannon Adkins to win the 400-yard freestyle relay in 3:34.95. The Lady Grizzlies swam collectively to a sixth-place result in the prestigious meet, and the boys team finished seventh.
