Fountains merchants raise funds for local elementary schools
By: Staff Report
Since Sept. 1, Fountains at Roseville customers have been able to earn points for their favorite elementary school. Called Shopping for Students, area elementary schools were invited to register for the program by June 1, 2008. Only 25 schools are accepted into the program each year. “Receipts dated from Sept. 1, 2008 through May 15, 2009 can be brought to the Fountains at Roseville’s Guest Services Center, located near the main fountain, where they will be noted, stamped for five points per dollar spent credit and returned immediately to the customer,” said Janet Young, center manager. “The customer can then select one of our 25 registered schools and, in December, earn double points per dollar spent at any of our stores and restaurants. We’re pleased to support our area elementary schools and make shopping that much more enjoyable for Roseville residents.” Gift card purchases count as points when the card is purchased and again when it is redeemed. The Shopping for Students program and points opportunities are explained to parents on pre-printed flyers, given to the schools throughout the program and posted online at www.fountainsatroseville.com. At the end of the school year, each school will receive a guaranteed donation of at least $250 and as much as $2,500, based on total points earned.
